Wilma N. Howard, daughter of Benjamin Harrison and Lola Carmin (Smith) Cochran, was born October 20, 1924 in Tiffin, Missouri. She passed away August 1, 2010 in Portland, Oregon at 85 years of age.
Wilma and her husband of 65 years, Clarence Howard, lived in Kansas City, Clinton and Harrisonville and for the last 30 years had resided in Appleton City, Missouri before she moved to Portland, Oregon just recently. While living in Kansas City, Missouri she worked at Sears and later at the U.S. Quartermasters Depot during World War II. She enjoyed gardening and sewing and was active in several churches.
Preceding Wilma in death were her parents, husband, a sister and brother. Survivors include her two sons, Larry Howard and wife Dianne of Harrisonville, Missouri and Don Howard and wife Ann of Oregon City, Oregon; five grandchildren, Lee Howard of Rogersville, Missouri Brian Howard and Maggie Sullivan and husband Trey both of Portland, Oregon; Joe Waddell and James Waddell, two great-granddaughters Jessie Howard and Lynn Howard, one brother Merle Cochran of El Dorado Springs, Missouri; and one sister Earline Priemer of Independence, Missouri.
