Wilma May Foster, daughter of Arthur W. and Audrey (Beard) Rice, was born in St. Clair County, Missouri January 17, 1933. She departed this life Sunday, April 29, 2012 at St. Joseph Hospital in Kansas City, Missouri at 79 years of age.

Wilma grew up in the Appleton City and Montrose, Missouri area. She was united in marriage to David W. "Dub" Foster March 30, 1957 at the Appleton City Christian Church. She had been a member of Ohio Christian Church later changing her membership to Montrose United Presbyterian-Methodist Church where she was a faithful member through the rest of her life. Wilma's early married life was dedicated to being a wife and mother of three. She was proud to be a wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother and loved spending time with her family. After her children were older she chose to work as a kitchen aide in the Appleton City Nursing Home, retiring in 2000.

Wilma also enjoyed sewing, handwork and caring for her flowers. She was seldom seen without a smile that accompanied with an infectious laugh.

Preceding Wilma in death were her parents, Arthur and Audrey Rice; her father and mother-in-law, John and Leotta Foster, her husband of almost 50 years, D.W. Foster; and her brothers, Gene and Glen Rice. Survivors include her children: Richard "Rick" Foster, Gwen and husband Randy Klass and David Foster; five grandchildren: D.J. Foster, Todd Foster, Tonya Foster, Tiffany (Klass) Faddis and Whitney Klass; five great-grandchildren and a host of friends.
