Wilbert Harold Rapp, the son of Martin and Mary (Marquardt) Rapp was born on the family farm near Rockville, Missouri on May 11, 1909. He passed away on July 2, 2005 at Ellett Memorial Hospital in Appleton City, Missouri at the age of 96.
Wilbert lived his entire life in the Rockville and Prairie City, Missouri areas where he farmed and raised cattle. He was a member of Zion Lutheran Church in Prairie City.
Wilbert was united in marriage to Evelyn Roberts on December 27, 1936. To this union one daughter was born. After Evelyn's death in 1969 Wilbert's love and devotion to her remained with him throughout the rest of his life.
Mr. Rapp was preceded in death by his parents; wife; three brothers, Henry, Victor and Richard; three sisters, Viola Bracher, Elsie Fischer, and an infant Esther; a brother-in-law Paul Roberts, Sr. and his wife Loretta. He is survived by his daughter Carolyn and husband Lonnie Klinksick of Appleton City, Missouri; granddaughter Julie Rebekah Rapp Weaver; step-grandsons, Clint and Lance Klinksick and families; great-granddaughter Danielle Lee Rapp Wildschuetz; brothers-in-law Alfred Fischer of Appleton City, and Adolph Roberts and wife Dorothy of Independence, Missouri; and two sisters-in-law Olga and Ruth Rapp, both of Appleton City, Missouri.
Wilbert was always known for being a hard worker. He loved farming, raising cattle and feeding his fish. He enjoyed his family, friends and neighbors. He will be sadly missed by all who knew him.
