There will be a MEMORIAL SERVICE for Mr. Butts held at
Hill and Son Funeral Home in Appleton City, Missouri on Sunday, January 4, 2015 at 2:00 p.m.

The MINISTER will be
Pastor Gar Garman.

The family suggests any MEMORIAL gifts be made to the
American Cancer Society
or
Hospice Compassus (Osceola).

Wesley "Wes" Clarence Butts, 67, Montrose, Missouri, died at his home on Saturday, December 27, 2014.

Wesley was born on June 16, 1947 to Charles Butts and Elizabeth (Brown) Butts of Williamsport, Indiana.

Wesley served his country in the U.S. Army during the Viet Nam era.

In his younger years Wesley was a professional race car driver, driving for Loretta Lynn.

Wesley worked as a heavy machine operator in construction for a number of years until he developed lung cancer in 2001.

Wesley loved his dogs Copper and Barney, his grandchildren, the outdoors and had a passion for dirt work.

Survivors include his loving companion of 18 years, Gloria Johnston of the home and her son, Rusty of Clinton, Missouri; three children: Anthony Miller and companion Denise of Savannah, Missouri, Kevin Miller and wife Cathy of Concordia, Missouri, and Kobby Miller and companion Chris of Concordia, Missouri; six grandchildren: Lance Miller and wife Jody of Waverly, Missouri; Lucas, Levi and Lynzie Miller of Malta Bend, Missouri; Dan R. Miller of Oklahoma and DaKota Miller of Concordia, Missouri; one sister, Althia Stephens and husband Tom of Desert Hot Springs, California; one brother. Larry Butts and wife Lynn of Mantoon, Illinois; one sister-in-law, Susan Butts of Sedalia, Missouri; one half sister, Ida Johnson of Columbia, Missouri; nieces and nephews.

Wesley was preceded in death by his parents, Charles Butts and Elizabeth (Brown) Butts, one brother Lee Butts, one half-sister, Henrietta Watson; two half brothers, Glenn and Vincent Simmons.
