A MEMORIAL SERVICE for Mr. Fields will be held at Hill and Son Funeral Home in Appleton City, Missouri on Thursday, August 6, 2015 at 5:00 PM.


The MINISTER will be Pastor Tony Reynolds .


INTERMENT will be in the Appleton City Cemetery Appleton City, Missouri.


In lieu of flowers the family suggests MEMORIAL contributions be made to a Family Love Fund and can be left at the funeral home.

Warren M. Fields, 92, formerly of Appleton City, Missouri, passed away at Golden Valley Memorial Hospital in Clinton, Missouri Saturday, August 1, 2015.   Warren was born June 27, 1923 in Artesia, New Mexico to Herman and Bertha (Fletcher) Fields. He proudly served his country during World War II in the European theater as a medic. Many men owed their lives to his decisive action and tender care. Upon returning home, Mr. Fields began a career as a foreman in a laundry service in California where he dutifully served the public for many years.
While living on the West Coast Warren met his wife of 56 years, Quilla Moore. The couple always remained dutiful in their discipleship to the Lord, being active in the Baptist Church where ever they lived. They enjoyed numerous happy times and fond memories throughout their long marriage. He and Quilla retired to Appleton City later in life and she preceded him in death in 2007. All who knew Mr. Fields would testify to his ability to hold a conversation, and these long discussions with friends were what kept him going after the death of his beloved wife.
Warren was preceded in death by his parents, and one brother Marion. He is survived by two sisters, Katie Hamer of California, and Barbara Reed of Boulder City, Nevada, along with seven nieces and nephews.
