Hill and Son Funeral Home on
Tuesday, August 21, 2012 between
1:00 p.m. - 2:00 p.m.

A MILITARY GRAVESIDE to honor Mr. Brown's service in the US Army will be presented by the
Appleton City VFW Post 11242 and the Missouri Honor Guard

INTERMENT will be in Round Prairie Baptist Cemetery in rural
Appleton City, Missouri

MEMORIALS suggested by the famiy should be made to the Appleton City Manor Nursing Home or the Appleton City Library

Warren Quincy Brown, 80, son of G. F. Quincy and Lena Lucille (Schapeler) Brown was born June 10, 1932 on the family farm near Appleton City, Missouri. He was the oldest of six children. Warren went to be with his Lord, Jesus Christ, on Monday, August 13, 2012.

Warren grew up on the family farm in the Round Prairie Community. He was a member of the Round Prairie Baptist Church and attended faithfully as long as physically able.

Warren attended McDavid and Reynard elementary schools. In the fall following high school graduation from Appleton City, he entered the U.S. Army on November 4, 1952 - the same day Ike Eisenhower was elected president. Warren served all of his tour of duty in Korea and was there when the cease fire was signed. After his honorable discharge from the military Warren returned to farm with his father and brother, Eddie, until his retirement. Warren was an active member of Appleton City VFW Post 11242 and a member of the Bates County Farm Bureau. In later years he enjoyed visiting and volunteering at the R.C.F. and Appleton City Manor, gladly sharing his time to cheer up someone who needed some company and a friendly smile.

Preceding Warren in death were his parents, one brother, George Brown and two sisters, Lodema Brown and Esther Lou Thompson. Warren is survived by one sister Marilyn and her husband Danté Bassi of Denton, Texas and one brother Eddie and his wife Joyce of Appleton City, he also leaves ten nieces and nephews.

The family wishes to thank all the nurses, doctors and personnel at the R.C.F. and A.C. Manor for their kindness and helpfulness to Warren.
