Wanda Ruth (Frasure) Frost passed away peacefully at Appleton City Manor on Saturday March 17, 2018. She was born October 16, 1930 in Corbin, Missouri, the middle daughter of Rollian Smith and Maggie Leona (Garrison) Frasure. Wanda attended Washington School, a one-room schoolhouse near Roscoe, Missouri, graduated from Appleton City High School in 1949, then attended Southwest Baptist College. After completing her education Wanda married the love of her life, Jimmie Frost, on July 29, 1951. To this union three children were born: Danny, Kent, and Neil.

Wanda was a hard worker, who did the many labors of a farm wife and taught school for several years until Danny was born. After her children began attending school, she served as a substitute teacher and later a lunch lady for many years at Hudson School. She dutifully looked after her children allowing her husband to farm and operate a successful carpentry business. Apart from this, Wanda dearly loved gardening and canning. Some of her favorite hobbies were sewing and embroidery. She was a marvelous cook, especially famous for her peanut butter cake. Wanda remained an active member of Trinity United Methodist Church until she became unable to attend. She was a wonderful mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, and she will be dearly missed by everyone that had the privilege of knowing her.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Rollin and Maggie Frasure; her husband Jimmie Frost; two sisters: Thelma Wyatt and Mary Lou Wishard; and one brother: James Frasure.

Wanda is survived by her three children: Danny Frost (Penny), Kent Frost (Kristie), and Neil Frost (Nancy); her sister, Naida Fenwick; six grandchildren: James Frost (Tiffany), Jesse Frost (Jenny), Lisa Frost, Natasha Frost, Kimberly Frost, and Ashley Frost; seven great-grandchildren: Stevie, Maycie, Emily, Silas, Phaedra, Chase, and Rhett.
