A MEMORIAL SERVICE will be held for Vivian at
Hill and Son Funeral Home in
Appleton City, Missouri on
Friday, September 27, 2013 at
6:00 p.m.
Following the service INURNMENT will be in
Appleton City Cemetery.
The family suggest MEMORIAL donations be made to the
American Cancer Society.
Vivian Irene Llewellyn was born February 8, 1946 in Kansas City, Missouri. Her parents were Jess and Selma Hildagard (Carlson) Shrock. Vivian passed away September 17, 2013 in Marlow, Oklahoma at 67 years of age. Throughout her life she lived in Colorado, Kansas City, Kansas, Lake of the Ozarks, Osceola and Appleton City, Missouri, and most recently since 2012 Marlow, Oklahoma.
Vivian and Donnie Gannon were united in marriage December 8, 1962 and he passed away in 1979. She married Francis "Lou" Llewellyn June 5, 1981 and he passed away in 2005.
Vivian loved her nursing career, working as a nurse's aide and certified medical technician in Appleton City's nursing home and the residential care facility. She loved helping and caring for people. She was a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother and friend. Two of her favorite pastimes were listening to and reading scripture. Vivian loved the church Ladies Day group and bible study. She also enjoyed playing dominoes, talking to friends and family and participating in water aerobics. Her favorite movies were Blue Hawaii and Gone with the Wind. Vivian enjoyed just having you there with her even if the time was spent in silence. She had a beautiful smile and always had a warm welcome for those she met. She touched the hearts of many and will be missed deeply. Her love for family and friends was genuine and unconditional.
Preceding Vivian in death were her parents Jess and Hilda; her husbands Donnie and "Lou"; a brother Richard Carlson, a son Donald E. Gannon, a grandson James Jensen, great-granddaughter Sarah Vivian Dawn Smith and son-in-law Mike Dalton. Survivors include her daughters Janet Dalton of Marlow, Oklahoma and Pamela Smith (Jim) of Pittsburg, Missouri; grandchildren: Heather McGuire, Ashley Gardner, Megan Marler, Kyle Smith (Vi), Shaylene Smith, Matthew Gannon, Jasmine Gannon, Domanic Stiles, Ralph Booth, Jr., Cynthia Booth and Mlee Booth; great-grandchildren: Damiun Johnson, Elijah Johnson, Nevaeh Gaunt and Eddie Smith; and daughter-in-law Cindra Gannon.
