Virginia "Ginnie" Lee Thomas was born on January 9, 1941, the daughter of Raymond Edwin and Georgia Francis (Callison) Barrows.  She passed away peacefully at St. Joseph Medical Center in Kansas City, Missouri, on May 20, 2023 aged 82. She grew up in the Clinton and Appleton City, Missouri, areas, graduating from Appleton City High School in 1959.

After completing her education, Ginnie met and married Leslie Thomas, and to this union three children were born: Scott, Susan, and Brian. Along with raising her family, she became a CNA and worked for many years in the healthcare field.   She enjoyed going to flea markets and various junk stores. Some of her favorite hobbies were caring for her dogs and riding around town on her golf cart. Ginnie was also a very good seamstress, who made clothes for her children. She dearly enjoyed chatting with her friends and spending time with her family. She will be dearly missed by her family and friends.

Ginnie was preceded in death by her parents, Raymond Edwin and Georgia Francis (Callison) Barrows; one daughter, Susan Thomas; and a granddaughter, Kristin Thomas.

She is survived by her two children: Scott (Nelma) Thomas and Brian Thomas; 3 grandchildren: Jarret (Kelsey) Thomas, Kyron (Taylor) Thomas, and Kimber (Brett Evans) Thomas; 6 great-grandchildren; along with many extended family and good friends.
