for Virginia will be held at Hill and Son Funeral Home in Appleton City, Missouri on Saturday, May 23, 2015 at 2:30 p.m.

Virginia Alma (Sanchez) Brockway, 78, of Appleton City, Missouri passed away in her home April 24, 2015 surrounded by her loving family. She was born October 2, 1936 in McAllen, Texas the daughter of Octavio and Aurora (Castro) Sanchez.
Virginia grew up in McAllen and later moved to Kansas City, Missouri near other relatives, where she took a job in a sewing factory. During that time she met and married Floyd Hill. They moved to Osceola, Missouri in 1972 where she began working for West Central Community Action Agency. She retired in 1984 after 12 years of service to the community. In later life after Floyd's passing she met and married Donald Brockway. Virginia loved to drive, so she took people many places they needed to go. She was very generous with her time and a very caring person.
Virginia was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Floyd in 1981; two granddaughters, Dawn Marie Sanchez and April Christina Hill Sanchez; and an aunt, Sophie Falcon, who had raised Virginia.
Survivors include her husband, Donald Brockway; one son, Jack Hill (Ashley); two daughters, Liz Sanchez and Jeanette Hill (Rick Foster); four grandchildren, Jeramie Hill, Jackie Hill (Ryan Snyder), Squire Hill and Siby Hill; four great-grandchildren, Harrison, Hailey, Cole and Maysyn; and two brothers, Romeo Sanchez and Noe Sanchez.
Virginia was much loved and will be greatly missed by her family and friends.
