Virginia Bauer passed away peacefully on February 16, 2023, at Wilshire Care Center in Lee's Summit, Missouri.

Virginia was born to Lawrence and Theresa (Bekebrock) Goth on November 10, 1920, on the family farm north of Montrose, Missouri. She spent her school days at Germantown and the Mount Hope schoolhouses. Montrose remained her home until she moved to Lee's Summit.

She worked alongside her parents on the family farm until she met and later married Vincent H. Bauer on April 28, 1947, at St. Ludger's Catholic Church in Germantown, Missouri. To this union five children were born: Russell, Denice, Kenneth, Sheila, and Lisa.

Besides loving and worrying about her family, she enjoyed her cat "Spooky." Virginia also cherished times spent traveling throughout the country.  It did not matter if it was a small jaunt or a long adventure, she was always ready to go.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Lawrence and Theresa (Bekebrock) Goth; her husband Vincent Bauer; one son, Russell Bauer; and a daughter, Lisa Bauer.

Virginia is survived by her children: Kenneth (Brenda) Bauer, Denice (Roger) Kaumans, and Sheila (Ray) Gibson; her grandchildren: Janna (Jason) Wareham, Meghan Bauer (Austin Holt), Jared Van Buskirk, Corey Van Buskirk (Shelby), Jeremy Van Buskirk (Christina), Jonathan Kaumans and Kathleen Maurer; and 9 great grandchildren.

She will be greatly missed by family and everyone who knew her including the staff at Wilshire.
