Ted Wayne Dearston was born December 7, 1934 in Broken Arrow, Oklahoma. He was the son of Fredrick Sandefer and Ida Salua (Bungenstock) Dearston. He passed away November 19, 2009 at his home in Appleton City, Missouri at 74 years of age. He married Ruby Zimmerman and to this union four daughters were born. After Ruby's passing and 18 years of being best friends, he married Patricia Ann (Rockwell) Mullen on March 24, 2008. Pat brought five sons, one daughter, 25 grandchildren and twelve great-grandchildren into their marriage and his life.
Ted loved to fish, spend time with his family and friends. He also enjoyed gardening and was an excellent cook. He had served in the U.S. Army for fifteen years and was a very proud veteran and loved his country. It was impossible to be around Ted without jokes and laughter. He was a wonderful husband, father and a very loving grandfather.
Ted was preceded in death by his parents Fred and "Sally", one sister Marjorie Dearston Mitchell, and his first wife Ruby. He is survived by his wife Pat of the home; one brother, Gerald Dearston and wife Linda of Brownington, Missouri; three sisters, Joella Walker and Donna Harper both of Oklahoma and Carolyne Colson of Montrose, Missouri; four daughters, Debra Dearston of Montrose, Sherry Coltellaro and husband Scott of Alaska, Robin Bercowski and husband Gene of Canada and Karla Sweat and husband Brian of Texas; six step children, Tamara Parker of Appleton City, Chris Mullen of Kansas, Mike Mullen of Urich, Missouri Tim Mullen of Clinton, Missouri, Jeff Mullen of Windsor, Missouri, and Mark Mullen of Mississippi; six grandchildren, 25 step-grandchildren; three great-grandchildren and twelve step-great-grandchildren.
