With the upsurge of COVID-19 we REQUIRE all who attend the Visitation and/or Funeral for Susan UNDERSTAND THAT MASKS ARE NOW TO BE WORN AT THE FUNERAL HOME AND SHOULD BE WORN AT THE CEMETERY. Please respect the social distancing rules and think of others' safety as well as your own. Please sit with proper 6 foot spacing between pews. We appreciate your cooperation and courtesy at this time.
VISITATION for Susan will be between 10:00 - 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, November 25, 2020 at Hill and Son Funeral Home in Appleton City, Missouri.
A GRAVESIDE SERVICE will follow the visitation at 12:30 p.m. on Wednesday, November 25, 2020 at Shiloh Cemetery in rural Liberal, Missouri.
The MINISTER will be Pastor David Hill.
The family suggest any MEMORIAL donations be made to Operation Christmas Child at the First Baptist Church, Clinton, MO. These may be sent to the church (209 E. Jefferson St., Clinton, MO 64735) or left at Hill & Son Funeral Home.
Susan Diane Jones, 68 was born in Pittsburgh, Kansas on October 4, 1952. She was the daughter of Lawrence C. and Evelyn Elizabeth (Carpenter) Jones. Susan departed this life November 20, 2020 at Golden Valley Hospital in Clinton, Missouri.
Susan spent her formative years in the Appleton City, Missouri area, where she graduated from high school in 1971.
Throughout her life she was dedicated member at the First Baptist Church in Appleton City and then also at the First Baptist Church of Clinton, where she always enjoyed participating in children's Christmas ministry. One of her favorite hobbies was camping with her parents in Branson and going to the many shows. Susan loved spending time with her nieces and nephews, especially on their annual camping trip to Pomme de Terre Lake. She was someone who loved her family and friends, and she will be deeply missed.
Preceding Susan in death were her parents, Lawrence C. and Evelyn Elizabeth (Carpenter) Jones; and one great-nephew, Conner Tenholder.
Survivors include Linda (Paul) Tenholder; nieces and nephews: Greg (Shirley) Tenholder, Connie (Jody) Rapp, Matt (Amanda) Tenholder, and Lori Burch; along with many extended family members and dear friends.
