Stella (Foster) Jones, 83 of Appleton City, MO passed away Thursday, March 16, 2017 at Appleton City Manor Nursing Home.

Stella was born August 31, 1933 to George and Eunice (Frey) Foster. Stella worked at Butler Wonder Bread Company and then Rival Mfg. in Clinton, MO until retiring.

Stella loved to talk on the phone, travel, fish, tell jokes, go to casinos, but most of all she loves spending time with family and friends. She and Glen also enjoyed raising grandson, Tony Jones. Stella was a member of Eagle Lodge in Clinton.

She was preceded in death by her husband Glen Jones; three sons, Gerald, Roger and Vernon Foster; two sisters, Elizabeth Foster and husband Howard and Joan Pullen and husbands Richard Strope and Elmer Pullen; one brother George Foster, Jr.

She is survived by her one son Darrell Foster of Warsaw, MO; one brother Jake Foster (Georgia) of Montrose, MO; two sisters, Dora Cole (Maynard) of Excelsior Springs, MO, Margaret Dines (A.C.) of Appleton City, MO; one step-daughter Sharon Shuman (Clint); brothers-in-law, Donald Ray Jones (Maxine), Darrell Jones (Connie) and TJ Jones (former wife Brenda); sisters-in-law, Patty Foster of Pleasant Hill, MO, Wilma Jean Williams and Arlene Landon; a host of nieces, nephews and several grandkids and great-grandkids.

Her smile and laugh will be missed by many. Rest in peace.

The family requests any memorial donations be given to help with final expenses. Donations may be left at Hill & Son Funeral Home or given to Darrell.
