Shirley B.(Nations) Strickler, 73, daughter of George and Lillian Johnson, was born November 25, 1938 in Macks Creek, Missouri. She passed away at Truman Lake Manor on July 9, 2012 surrounded by her loving family.
Shirley lived in Taberville, Missouri most of her life. She worked at the shoe factory in Eldorado Springs, Missouri until it closed. She then worked as a licensed practical nurse at both the Appleton City Manor and Truman Lake Manor until her retirement. Shirley was married to James "Jim" Strickler on March 29, 1965 in Miami, Oklahoma. Shirley enjoyed fishing, hunting and spending time with her family.
Shirley was preceded in death by her parents and her husband Jim, who died June 24, 2006. Shirley is survived by three sons Rick Johnson of Arkansas, James Strickler of Osceola, Missouri and Lee Strickler of Taberville, Missouri; one daughter Cheryl Dockery of Eldorado Springs, Missouri; seven grandchildren and several great-grandchildren.
