Obituary

The SERVICE for Mrs. Countryman will be held at Hill and Son Funeral Home in Appleton City, Missouri on Wednesday, July 2, 2014 at 12:00 Noon.

OFFICIATING will be Chaplain Herb Bishop from Heartland Hospice in Butler, Missouri.

VISITATION will at the funeral home preceding the service between 11:00 a.m. - 12:00 Noon.

INTERMENT will be Wednesday, July 2, 2014 with a committal service at 3:00 p.m. in the chapel at the Veterans Cemetery, Higginsville, Missouri.

The family requests MEMORIAL gifts be given to Heartland Hospice (Butler, Missouri).


Shirley L. Countryman, 67, passed away Saturday June 28 th , 2014 at her home in Appleton City, surrounded by family.
Shirley was born on October 25 th 1946 to James and Margaret Hayes. She was one of seven children. Shirley met David Countryman at a gas station when she was 13 and they were united in marriage on November 23rd, 1963 and have been married for 50 years. In 2003 they moved to Appleton City, Missouri.
Shirley leaves a loving husband David Countryman of Appleton City, three daughters Teresa Mikula and husband Chris, Rachel Enfield and husband Keith and Sherry Williams and husband Todd, four angel babies, Saige Enfield, Brooklynn Enfield, Brayden Williams and Harper Williams, three brothers and two sisters James Hayes and wife Linda, Richard Hayes and wife Linda, David Hayes, Rita Beckner and husband Dwayne, Charlette Kelton and husband Stephen. She was preceded in death by her parents and two brothers Forrest Hayes and Alfred Hayes.
Shirley was the kindest, most loving, wife, mother, grandmother and friend. She was a proud lifetime member of the NRA. She will be greatly missed but always remembered.
