Sheila Ellen May of Montrose, Missouri passed away July 2, 2009 at Golden Living Center/Westwood in Clinton, Missouri at the age of 84. She was the daughter of Walter H. Bryan and Ellen Jane (Doyle) Bryan of Newbury, Berkshire, England. She was born on February 19, 1925 in Kasool, India.
During World War II she met and married an American GI, Elmer J. May, from Onaga, Kansas who was stationed in England.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, one brother Dennis Bryan, one sister Eileen Dyer, one brother-in-law and one son-in-law.
She is survived by two sons, Danny May of Kansas City, Missouri and Gary May and wife Pat of Fresno, California; three daughters, Linda Bryant and husband Ray of Montrose, Missouri, Jane Hansen of Osawatomie, Kansas and Judy Campbell of Lenexa, Kansas; one brother Walter Bryan and wife Peggy of Lincolnshire, England; 14 grandchildren, 18 great-grandchildren and 13 great-great-grandchildren. She had a very happy life and enjoyed spending time with her family.
