Golden Valley Memorial Hospital – Life Flight

Sarah Ellen "Ella" Tindill, daughter of Joseph W. and Gertie (Polston) Marlow, was born March 6, 1914 in Lockwood, Missouri. She passed away September 14, 2007 at St. Luke's Hospital in Kansas City, Missouri at 93 years of age.
Ella lived in Kansas City from 1935 to 1958 when her family moved to Appleton City, Missouri. She was united in marriage to James W. Tindill June 24, 1937 and to this union four sons were born. Ella was a loving mother and grandmother, and worked hard at caring for her family and home. Mrs. Tindill was a member of Trinity United Methodist Church, Rebeka Lodge #724, the Appleton City Garden Club and Order of the Eastern Star Olive Branch Chapter #157 where she had held the office of Worthy Matron and had been District Deputy Grand Matron of the 37th District.
Ella was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, three sisters and three brothers. Survivors include her four sons, James W. Tindill, Jr. of Pinson, Alabama, Russell R. Tindill of Lee's Summit, Missouri, John J. Tindill of Clinton, Missouri and Mike D. Tindill of Clinton, Illinois; one sister, Wilma DePee of Conta Costa, California; three brothers, Don Marlow of Casper, Wyoming, Joseph Marlow of Greenfield, Missouri and Howard Marlow of Kansas City North, Missouri; six grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
