The FUNERAL SERVICE will be held at
Trinity Lutheran Church in
Appleton City, Missouri on
Friday, May 17, 2013 at
2:00 p.m.

The MINISTER will be
Pastor David Herald.

VISITATION will precede the service
at the church from 1:00 - 2:00 p.m.

INTERMENT will be in
Appleton City Cemetery.

Sara Nadine Hearting, 90, passed away Tuesday, May 14, 2013 at her home near Rockville, Missouri. Sara was born September 7, 1922 on the family farm near Rockville. She was the second of six children born to George Edward and Julia Elsie (Garrison) Siegismund.

Sara attended Rockville School, and then went to work for Mrs. Davis on the Green Valley Ranch. Sara was married to Henry Hearting on October 10, 1948 in Springfield, Missouri. They were blessed with two children. Sara and Henry made their home on a farm near Rockville.

Sara loved taking care of her family and enjoyed watching her grandchildren and great-grandchildren grow. Sara and Henry raised cattle, hogs, sheep and farmed the land. Sara enjoyed playing the piano and listening to music. Sara could always be found caring for her flowers and working in the garden. She also enjoyed watching and feeding the hummingbirds and the Purple Martins.

Sara was a faithful member of Trinity Lutheran Church of Appleton City and was a member of the LWML ladies group at the church. She was also a member of the quilters groups both at Trinity Lutheran and Rockville Methodist Churches.

Preceding Sara in death were her parents; her husband, Henry in 1997; brothers, Andrew Siegismund and Aaron Siegismund; sister, Dorothy Heiserman, and great-great-grandson, Owen Davis.

Survivors include daughters, Linda Kennedy and husband, Doug of Rockville, Elsie Berland and husband, Larry of Hazen, ND; two siblings, Georgia Williams of El Dorado Springs, MO, Emma Cassidy of Lockwood, MO; five grandchildren, Tina Mitchell and boyfriend, Sam Hood of Rockville, Mike Shepard and girlfriend, Susie Strickland of Rockville, Matthew Pippenger and wife, Stephanie of Lansing, KS, Lucas Pippenger and wife, Cassandra of Bismarck, ND, Evan Pippenger and fiancé, Aubrey of Hazen; five great-grandchildren, Tony Davis and girlfriend, Whitney Benham of Lawrence, Sara Mitchell and boyfriend, Byron Green of Appleton City, Nicholas Mitchell of Montrose, Madison and Raven Cossey of Rockville; one great-great-grandson, Ian Davis of Lawrence; two sisters-in-law, Margie Siegismund and Mable Siegismund both of Rockville, one brother-in-law, Howard Heiserman of Rockville, and numerous other relatives and friends.

Sara lived a long and blessed life, and will be greatly missed by all.
