Ruth T. (Pierce) Smith, 97, of Independence, Missouri passed away Friday, October 6, 2006. She was born September 9, 1909 in Passaic, Missouri and had lived in Appleton City, Missouri before moving to the Kansas City area 45 years ago. Mrs. Smith was a member of Country Meadows Baptist Church.
She was preceded in death by her first husband, Lyle Pierce and her second husband Vincie Smith.
Survivors include her two sons, Jim Pierce and wife Eunice of Independence, Missouri and Joe Pierce and wife Dorothy of Appleton City, Missouri, five grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
