Roy Gene Ruble was born December 20, 1944 in Rockford, Illinois to Roy Leland Ruble and Ollie Marie (Allen) Ruble Baker, and loved always by George Richard Baker his stepfather. He passed away March 17, 2007 in Kansas City, Missouri at 62 years of age.
Roy Gene married Deanna Marie Lynch on June 4, 1987, uniting a family of six children: Sandra Jean Ruble Meagher, Kevin Eugene Ruble and Melanie Egleson Ruble, Tressia Jane Ruble Auten, Jennifer Marie Petrey, Billy Ray Ruble, and Lindsey Marie Calkins. Roy had thirteen grandchildren and great-grandchildren: Christopher Roy Meagher, Robert Jacob Meagher, Misty Marie Auten, Marybeth Anne Meagher Gilbert, Brandy Dawn Auten "with child", Donald Scott Auten, Nathan Scott Ruble, Courtney Marie Schneiter, Clayton Alexander Ruble, Madalyn Andrea Meagher, Wesley Gene Gilbert and Eli Jacob Meagher.
Roy Gene lived a great deal of his life in the Kansas City area where he was employed by General Motors for 30 years. He spent the best part of his life, after retirement, in Rockville, Missouri where he was an avid fisherman and gardener. Roy Gene was a member of the Rockville Volunteer Fire Department and the Rockville Lions Club.
Roy Gene was a great many things to many people. To his wife, Deanna, he was a loving husband and a provider of comfort and support. To his children he was a provider, teacher, a gentle helping hand and a fountain of love, understanding and knowledge. To his grandchildren he was next to impossible to improve upon. To the rest of his large and extended family he was a rock and the glue that held everything together. Roy Gene had an open heart policy; there wasn't one person that he didn't have the time or patience to visit and spend time with. We will miss him and love him always.
