A Funeral Mass will be held for Rodger at 10:00 a.m. Friday, August 9, 2019 at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Montrose, Missouri.

Visitation will be immediately preceding the service from 9:00 - 10:00 a.m.

Inurnment will be in St. Mary's Cemetery.

The family suggests any memorial gifts be made to St. Mary's School.

Rodger Alan Tenholder, 57, passed on July 11, 2019 at his home in Saginaw, Texas.  He was born on May 12, 1962 in Appleton City, Missouri to Don and Myrna (Heiserman) Tenholder.

Preceding Rodger in death were his father, Don Tenholder and nephew, Shawn Lynch.

Survivors include his wife, Lynda, of the home; his children, Zachary Tenholder of Missouri and Charles (Katelyn) Tenholder of Texas; step-children, Tasha (Josh) Jones and Jay (Theresa) Stover all of Texas; mother, Myrna Tenholder; sisters, Kimberly Lynch and Kristi (David) Gengler; three grandchildren, Lilly, Maddie and Uryiah Tenholder; three step-grandchildren, Jace, Brooke and Ryder Jones; niece, Shannon (Luke) Giefer and nephews, Lucas (Heather) Gengler, Brett (Devon) Gengler and Scott Gengler.

Rodger attended Montrose High School, graduating in 1980.  He studied drafting in college.  Until his passing, Rodger worked for Corning for 29 years as a Computer Aided Draftsman, earning 12 patents to his credit.

Throughout his years in Texas, Rodger remained a loyal Chiefs fan.  He enjoyed fishing and was an avid gardener and loved scouring flea markets and garage sales for that elusive find.  In his younger days, Rodger liked to spend time at Pomme de Terre Lake with family and friends.  He was quite the slalom water skier and could spray unhappy onlookers from several feet away!      Rodger thoroughly enjoyed combing the lake shores for one of a kind lures and many other treasures that he kept in his possession to this day.  Rodger had a special bond with his dog "Penny".  Upon her passing, he fell in love with his current dog "Rosie".

Rodger will be sorely missed by his family and friends.
