Robert L. Majors, 69, son of Roy R. and Mary Elizabeth (Allis) Majors, was born November 28, 1941 in Appleton City, Missouri. He passed away December 21, 2010 at Alta Bates Summit Medical Center in Oakland, California. He was an only child.

Bob attended school in Appleton City until his parents moved to Buckner, Missouri. He graduated from Fort Osage High School. He was an avid barber shop quartet singer. He started singing right after graduating from high school and continued for many years wherever he was living. He loved music and had season tickets to the symphony. He spent much of his spare time listening to classical music.

Bob joined the United States Coast Guard in 1960 and was honorably discharged in 1964. After he was discharged he moved to California where he spent the rest of his life. He retired in 2006 after working 25 years in sales for the Allied Paper and Janitorial Supply Company in San Leandro, California.

Bob is survived by cousins, Mary Ann Holdeman of Grandview, Missouri, Jim Davis and Larry Davis both of Appleton City, Missouri, Pat Sechler of Springfield Missouri, Kim Tidrow and Bruce Tidrow both of St. Louis, Missouri, Gene Allis of Appleton City, Missouri, James Allis of Clinton, Missouri, Mary K. Bryant of Kansas City, Missouri, Earl Crawford of Republic, Missouri, Charles Clark of Ft. Scott, Kansas, Joe Clark of Springfield, Missouri, and a host of friends.
