Appleton City, Missouri from
6:00 - 8:00 p.m. on Friday, December 7, 2012

The ROSARY will be said at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, December 8, 2012
at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in
Montrose, Missouri.

FUNERAL MASS will be at
Immaculate Conception Catholic Church on Saturday, December 8, 2012 at
11:00 a.m.

OFFICIATING will be
Father Tom Hermes.

INTERMENT will be at
St. Mary's Cemetery, Montrose, Missouri.

The family suggests MEMORIAL contributions to
St. Mary's School.

Rita (Engeman) Wagner, the youngest of seven children, was born October 5, 1935 to Joseph and Monica (Schmedding) Engeman at the location of her current home near Appleton City, Missouri. She departed this life on December 4, 2012 at 77 years of age.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband Leroy; and five brothers, Bernard, Leo, Paul, George and Ralph.

Rita is survived by one brother, Vince Engeman, several brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law and lots of nieces and nephews.

Her mother was one of the orphans that came from New York on the Orphan Train. They were raised by families in the Germantown area around 1900. Rita liked to give talks about the Orphan Train and how it related to her family history. She enjoyed caring for her flowers and belonged to the garden club. Rita was president of the Prairie Queen Garden Club for five years, 1995-1999. She served as secretary for many years after that and up to the time of her death. She also took classes to become a Master Gardener and was the 'go-to' source for all of the club members.

Rita visited the residents at the nursing home almost every day sharing her smile and kind thoughts. She also took those needing rides to appointments that were unable to drive themselves. She will be sadly missed by friends and family.
