Paul James Knight, son of Ora Willis and Mabel Lucy (Ritter) Knight, was born August 26, 1925 in Henry County Missouri. He departed this life February 11, 2006 at his home in Montrose, Missouri at 80 years of age.
Mr. Knight had spent his life in Peculiar and Butler, Missouri until moving to Montrose, Missouri in 1987. During World War II he proudly served his country in the U.S. Army with the 10th Mountain Division Rangers from 1943 until 1945.
Paul and Retha F. Hixon were united in marriage in August 1949 in Clinton, Missouri and to this union three sons were born. He was a devoted husband and father to his family. He was employed by the General Motors Corporation for 31 years, working in Kansas City, Kansas.
Paul was preceded in death by his parents, his wife and one brother Ronald Knight. Survivors include his three sons, James W. Knight of Bartlett, Tennessee, Randy J. Knight and Michael L. Knight both of Wichita, Kansas; two brothers, Earl O. Knight of Belton, Missouri, Jack E. Knight of Peculiar, Missouri; one sister, Bonnie Oliphant of Wichita, Kansas; four grandchildren, James E. Knight, Christina R. Knight, Justin Knight and Stephanie Knight; and one great-granddaughter, Zoe Knight.
