The SERVICE for Mrs. Crowder will be at 10:30 a.m. Monday, June 17, 2019 at Hill and Son Funeral Home in Appleton City, Missouri.

The VISITATION will be at the funeral home preceding the service from 9:30 - 10:30 a.m.

The MINISTER will be Pastor Norman Black.

INTERMENT will be in the Appleton City Cemetery. Appleton City, Missouri.

The family suggests any MEMORIAL donations be made to Appleton City Library or American Cancer Society.

Patty Lou (Vantellman) Crowder, daughter of John Charles and Florence L. (Fowler) Vantellman was born on September 25, 1934 in Schell City, Missouri.  She departed this life on June 13, 2019 in Appleton City, Missouri at 84 years of age.

Patty attended school at Schell City, finishing in 1951.  At an early age, she accepted Christ and became a member of the Christian Church.  On December 4, 1951, Patty was united in marriage to Woodvul C. Crowder in El Dorado Springs, Missouri.  They were blessed with three daughters: Shirley, Wanda, and Dee Ann.

Along with being a homemaker, Patty also worked at Ellett Memorial Hospital for a number of years before working at Butler Walmart.  She retired from Walmart after working for 26 years.

Patty had many hobbies: sewing, crocheting, gardening, yard work, reading books, and studying the Bible.  She also enjoyed bowling for a number of years.

Patty was preceded in death by her parents, grandparents, her husband, Woodvul, three brothers, and her daughter, Shirley Renfrow.

Survivors include her daughters: Wanda Barnes (Ron) of Lee's Summit, Missouri and Dee Ann Campbell (Tim) of Chandler, Arizona; grandchildren: Andrew Barnes of Lee's Summit, Missouri, and Jennifer Barnes of Grain Valley; great-grandson, Atticus McMurray; a brother, Sam Vantellman (Dorothy), Schell City, Missouri; her sister, Carol Bailey of Schell City; a son-in-law, Charles Renfrow; along with many nieces, nephews, family, neighbors, and dear friends.  She will be deeply missed by all her family and friends.
