Patricia Louise Cook, daughter of Cecil H. and Alice M. (Gengler) Cook, was born in Appleton City, Missouri October 11, 1955. She departed this life at her home near Montrose, Missouri October 3, 2006 at 50 years of age. To her friends and family she was "Patty" or "Pat," to her children she was "Mom," and to her grandchildren she was "Grandma Patty." The second of eight children, Patty was raised in a country home outside of Montrose, Missouri. Patty attended St. Mary's School in Montrose and graduated from Montrose High School. She married the father of her three boys in 1976. Her first son, Eric, was born March 19, 1977, followed by Jason born May 14, 1979, and Dustin born July 15, 1982. Patty worked as a court-reporter earlier in her life, but found her true occupational love in gardening and landscaping. She loved animals, the outdoors and she loved to help things grow. More than anything, Patty loved her family, her boys, her granddaughters, her parents and her brothers and sisters. Patty was very happy living the last years in her life with her mother and near her family.
She was preceded in death by her father, Cecil H. Cook and an infant brother, Paul Cook.
