Neoma Ruth Meredith Atherton Link, 88, passed away Saturday November 3, 2012 at Ellett Memorial Hospital in Appleton City, Missouri. She was born September 11, 1924 to Addie and Ruth (Fleming) Garrison in Osceola, Missouri.

Neoma lived most of her life in the Henry county area. She attended elementary school in Taberville and high school in Appleton City. On September 28, 1940 Neoma and Roy Bernard Meredith were married in Osceola by Reverend H.D. Olive. They were blessed with three children during their 36 years together. Neoma and Bernard made their home on a farm southeast of Montrose in the Teays Chapel area until 1965. Between 1965 and 1976 they lived in Arizona, Columbia, Missouri and Parsons, Kansas. Bernard passed away in 1976 while they were living in Parsons. Neoma met and later married Alford Atherton in July of 1977 and they moved to Appleton City. Following Alford's death in 1991 Neoma met Floyd Link and they were later married January 4, 2008. Floyd passed away in 2009.

Neoma was a devoted mother and a good wife who loved her children and grandchildren very much. She liked quilting and was a 4-H leader teaching cooking to club members.

Neoma was a member of the First Christian Church in Appleton City. She was also a member of the Order of the Eastern Star, Olive Branch Chapter 157.

Neoma was preceded in death by her parents; her husbands, Bernard Meredith, Alford Atherton and Floyd Link; three sisters, Sarah Ellen Garrison, Ople Harleman, and Thelma Hough; and one great-granddaughter Christa Schussler. Neoma is survived by her children, John Leroy Meredith and wife Jane of Bolivar, Missouri, Charles Lynn Meredith, Sr. and wife Teresa of Montrose, Missouri and Bernita Mae Miller and husband Ken of Windsor, Missouri; 11 grandchildren; 26 great-grandchildren; nine great-great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.
