Neola Marie Everson, 94, of Appleton City, Missouri, passed away June 30, 2009 at Appleton City Manor.
Neola was born May 20, 1915, the first child of Warner and Julia Ann (Burke) Allinson. They lived in the Mt. Zion area east of Rockville, Missouri. She attended high school in Taberville and her last two years in Appleton City. The school had burned and she was in the first class graduating from the new building in 1932.
On March 26, 1935 Neola and Clarence Everson were married. They shared a life of farming southeast of Appleton City for 57 years. After Clarence's death in 1992 she moved to Hickory Courts, then Countryside Estates where she had resided for the past 7½ years until the last fourteen days which were spent at Appleton City Manor.
She enjoyed gardening, flowers, quilt making and worked as a book keeper for Don Blanchard Feeds for several years in the 1950's.
She was a devoted caretaker of many through the years. Neola had also been a 4-H leader, was a member of the Jolly Homemakers Club and Trinity United Methodist Church.
Neola was preceded in death by her parents Warner and Julia Allinson, her husband Clarence Everson, a sister Wilda Allinson and a granddaughter-in-law Becky Miller.
Survivors include her daughter Charlyne Miller and husband Charles of Appleton City, Missouri, two grandsons, Craig Miller of Peculiar, Missouri and Chris Miller of Butler, Missouri; five great-grandchildren, Cathy and Cindy Miller of Peculiar, Missouri and Andrew, Sarah and Amy Miller of Butler, Missouri. She will also be missed by her nieces, nephews and friends.
