A MEMORIAL CELEBRATION OF LIFE will be held between 2:00 - 4:00 p.m. on Saturday, July 18, 2015 at Hill & Son Funeral Home in Appleton City.  The family will be present to greet friends and neighbors, followed by a short eulogy at the closing of the celebration.

The family suggests anyone who wishes to make donations in Monty's memory choose Blessed Trinity Hospice. Donations may be left at Hill & Son Funeral Home.

Kenneth L. "Monty" Purvis, 73, of Grandview, passed away July 10, 2015 in Belton.  Monty was born March 19, 1942 in Appleton City, MO to Kenneth and Loene Purvis.
He was a good man and a wonderful father.  He never knew a stranger and was loved by all who knew him.  His smile could light up a room.  He will be greatly missed.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents, his mother and 1 sister, Susan.
He is survived by his wife, Lois, sons Terry and Rickey, daughter Jennifer, grandson Jordan, father Kenneth, brothers Larry Purvis (Vicki) and Danny Purvis (Carol), and sisters Patti Young (Ron) and Debbie Angell (Don).
