Mildred Evelyn Casey was born August 13, 1917 in Jefferson County, Nebraska to Frank and Bessie (Soldot) Cerveny. She attended a rural grade school graduating from high school in Fairbury, Nebraska then later attended Peru State College in Peru, Nebraska.
At age eleven Mildred joined the Methodist Church in Fairbury then transferred her membership in 1955 to Trinity United Methodist Church in Appleton City, Missouri.
Mildred and Earl Robinson were united in marriage in 1939 then on June 6, 1967 she married Verlyn N. Casey.
Mildred graduated from Central Missouri State College in 1961 teaching at St. Clair County R-II Schools in Appleton City until her retirement.
Mrs. Casey was a member of the United Church Women and Alpha Phi Delta Sorority.
She was preceded in death by her parents, both husbands, a sister in 2002 and a great-nephew B.J. Rocole. Survivors include three step-daughters, Kemmy Cook of Montrose, Missouri, Anna Bain of Rockville, Missouri and Phyllis Downer of Mesa, Arizona; a brother-in-law William Leif of Exeter, Nebraska; a niece Pat Rocole and husband Bruce of Exeter, Nebraska; a nephew John William Leif and wife Karen of St. Johns, Michigan; one great-niece; three great-nephews; eight step-grandchildren; thirteen step-great-grandchildren; and five step-great-great-grandchildren.
