The SERVICE for Maxine will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, May 17, 2016 at  Hill and Son Funeral Home in Appleton City, Missouri.

OFFICIATING at the service will be Brother Aaron Johnson and Reverend Ron Beaton.

VISITATION will be held at the funeral home preceding the service from 1:00 - 2:00 p.m.

INTERMENT will be in the Montrose Cemetery in Montrose, Missouri.

In lieu of flowers the family requests any MEMORIAL donations be made to Trinity United Methodist Church.  Memorials may be left at the funeral home.


Frances Maxine Dugan was born October 1, 1918. She was the daughter of Reverend G. A. and Clara (Underwood) Moss. She went to be with the Lord on May 13, 2016. Maxine was raised throughout southwest Missouri as her father was reassigned to different Methodist churches. She was lifelong member of the Methodist Church. Maxine married Wilfred H. Dugan on December 7, 1946. They lived on the farm for 62 years.
Maxine was a member of PEO. She read the entire Bible every year. She taught music lessons to local students for many years. And she played the piano and organ for many religious events. She was a member Mount Hope Rural Home Improvement club holding various offices.
Maxine was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Wilfred and her sister Mary Elizabeth Stout. She is survived by her son Jim (Brenda), three grandsons: Clayton (Laurie), Morgan (Katie) and Ross (Alisia); two step grandsons: Adam (Kim) Cunningham and Alex Cunningham and 10 great-grandchildren and step great- grandchildren.
