Mary Catherine Teeman, 85, passed away February 3, 2009 at Appleton City Manor. She was born to Henry and Anna Lichtenauer July 1, 1923 in Germantown, Missouri. She married January 6, 1947 to John Teeman in Germantown, Missouri.
She lived most of her life in Montrose, Missouri. She was preceded in death by her mother, father, a sister Wilhemenia Kliensorge, an infant son Robert and a granddaughter Kristina Pierce. She is survived by her husband John, one sister Rose Ann Schussler, her four children, David Teeman, Fred Teeman and wife Jane of Kansas City, Jane Kaumans and husband Jake of Windsor and Rhonda Engeman of Montrose, Six grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren.
Mary spent the early part of her life working as a seamstress at Unitog and Nelly Don Dress; she also owned and operated three businesses in Montrose. Mary was known for her food service and the friendly atmosphere in the businesses she owned. She also worked at the Montrose Senior Center as a food server. In her later years she enjoyed quilting, gardening and taking care of her roses.
