The SERVICE for Mark will be at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, October 14, 2017 at Hill and Son Funeral Home, Appleton City, Missouri.

VISITATION will be held at the funeral home from 10:00 - 10:30 a.m. preceding the service.


INTERMENT will be in Harmony Cemetery, St. Clair County, Missouri.

The family requests any MEMORIAL donations be given to First Baptist Church in Appleton City, Missouri.

Mark Crayton, 58, of rural Osceola, Missouri, passed away peacefully at his home on Wednesday October 11, 2017. He was the only son of Donnie and Charlene Johnston Crayton. He attended Benjamin Harrison Elementary School and graduated from Van Horn High School in Independence, Missouri.

Mark lived in Kansas City area for 44 years, where he worked as a night watchman at the Swope Park Zoo and a construction worker. A life passion of his was riding motorcycles. Along with this he dearly loved taking care of farm animals, especially cattle, horses, and chickens. He also loved his dogs, especially his yellow lab, "Babe." Mark was a private man, who shared a deep and personal faith in his savior Jesus Christ.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Charlie and Marie Johnston and John and Carrie Crayton.

Mark is survived by his parents, Donnie and Charlene Crayton; a sister Saundra and husband Robert Hall; one niece and nephew, Courtney and Hawkins Hall; and one aunt, Roberta Dines. He was dearly loved by his family and will be deeply missed.
