Madge Arlene (Mock) Landers, 98, was born December 29, 1924, to Roy L. and Mary Gladys (Layher) Mock at their farm near Rockville, Missouri.  She departed this life, September 12, 2023, in Appleton City, Missouri.

She attended Elm Grove School and graduated from Appleton City High School in May 1943.  She graduated Sunday night and the following Saturday she was married to Robert Landers in Independence, Missouri by a Latter-Day Saints preacher.

They lived in Independence a short time before Bob was drafted into the military.  They lived in several areas of California during his time in the service and twins Larry and Garry were born October 22, 1944, and passed away shortly after birth.

Madge was a faithful member of Trinity United Methodist Church where she attended King's Daughters Sunday School class and was a member of UMW women's group.

Following Bob's honorable discharge, they moved back to Independence. Not long after, Madge's father was killed in an accident, and they moved back to the family farm to help her mother. Phillip E. was born June 23, 1953.  On May 23,1949 Sheila A. (Landers) Laning was born.  Sheila graduated in 1967 and went to beauty college.

Robert passed away in June 1973, of a heart attack.  After Phillip graduated from Missouri University, he moved back to the farm and Madge moved to Appleton City and began work at Colonial Manor Nursing Home where she was employed for ten years and then at the RCF for three years.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert R. Landers and twin sons, Larry and Garry Landers.

Madge is survived by her daughter Sheila (Gary) Laning; son, Phillip (Karen) Landers; grandchildren: Melody R. (Josh) Beachner, Ben (Ann) Landers, Brian Landers, Emily (Micah) Noble; great grandchildren: Melania & Deegan Beachner and Amelia & Will Landers.

Madge enjoyed being with her family and friends and loved being in her garden working with her flowers.  She also belonged to the garden club.
