Lyle Hickman was born September 13, 1924 in Spickard, Missouri. He spent 20 years in the Army Medical Corps beginning in World War II. After retiring from the Army, Lyle spent 23 years as a hospital administrator at Clinton General Hospital, Golden Valley Memorial Hospital and Ellett Memorial Hospital. Following his retirement, Lyle spent 26 years enjoying the RV lifestyle. The past four years Lyle was an avid sponsor of the Fort McDowell Indian tribe.

A celebration of life was held at La Hacienda RV Park in Phoenix, Arizona on Friday, February 17, 2017.

Lyle was preceded in death by his wife, Willa. He is survived by his two children, son Wayne Hickman and wife Danielle and daughter Jerri Campbell and husband Bill.

At present no memorial service is planned in Appleton City.
