The FUNERAL MASS for Mr. Westhusing will be held at the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Montrose, Missouri on Saturday, April 26, 2014 at 10:00 a.m.

OFFICIANT will be Father Tom Hermes.

VISITATION/ROSARY will be held at the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Montrose, Missouri on Friday, April 25, 2014.

Visitation : 6:00 - 7:00 p.m.

Rosary : 7:00 p.m.

INTERMENT will be in St. Mary's Cemetery, Montrose, Missouri.

The family suggests that MEMORIAL contributions may be made to St. Mary's School.

Ludger J. Westhusing, 93, son of Frank and Mary (Bettels) Westhusing, was born July 27, 1920 in Germantown, Missouri. He passed away Thursday, April 24, 2014 at Ellett Memorial Hospital in Appleton City, Missouri

Ludger attended Maple Grove School for eight years. He then worked with his father and brother farming and also helped his cousin, Tony Westhusing, who owned the Germantown Grocery Store, Saw Mill and Garage.

Uncle Sam called him to service on September 18, 1942 and he served in the Army for 3½ years, part of the time in the states and part overseas in Europe.

Ludger was united in marriage to Agnes Marie Lesmeister on April 8, 1947 and to this union four children were born.

Ludger was a member of the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Montrose, Missouri.

Ludger was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Agnes of 52 years (2002); daughter, Phyllis Westhusing (1971); three sisters, Alice Westhusing, Ida Tilling and Eva Tilling; and two brothers, Cecil Westhusing and Stephen "Steve" Westhusing.

He is survived by two sons, Edgar and Bryan Westhusing of Montrose, Missouri and one daughter, Nancy and husband Doug Snodgrass, Appleton City, Missouri; three grandchildren, Courtney and husband Jeremy Fry, Sedalia, Missouri, Brandon Snodgrass and wife Jessica, Appleton City, Jayme Snodgrass, Appleton City; one step great-granddaughter, Tessa Heiserman, Appleton City; a sister, Aladene Lesmeister, Montrose and a sister-in-law Cleo and husband Don Rice, Clinton, Missouri; several nieces, nephews and friends.

With his sons, Ludger loved farming, milking and taking care of his farms until his health failed. He loved spending time with his kids, grandkids, family and neighbors.
