Lucille (Becker) Rahmeier was born July 31, 1916 near Sylvan Grove, Kansas and went to be with the Lord on June 12, 2011.

Her mother died at age 41 in Iola, Kansas on November 5, 1935. Lucille was the oldest so she cared for her seven siblings for the next two years. Then her dad remarried. In 1937 Lucille married Martin Frederick Rahmeier who was also from Sylvan Grove, but both families, the Beckers and Rahmeiers had by this time moved to eastern Kansas and lived near LeRoy, Kansas. There the church young people had outings and it came that Martin and Lucille became sweethearts and were married.

On April 7, 1937 the marriage took place in St. Johns Lutheran Church, Aliceville, Kansas. After ten years of farming and having two children (Joyce Marie in 1938 and Treva Lou in 1940) they moved from Kansas to the Rockville, Missouri area in 1948. Lucille lived there until her death.

Her deceased siblings are Ralph, Marvin and Victor Becker. Surviving siblings are Carolyn Hayes of Holt, Missouri, Lorene Gleue of Belleville, Kansas and Wallace Becker of St Mary's, Kansas and Myrtle Rhoads of Winter Park, Florida.

Lucille's hobbies were sewing, quilting, crafts, rug crocheting and Braille writing. She enjoyed teaching Sunday School for years, and then learned to type Braille so she could send Sunday School correspondence lessons to students who were blind, students she never met in person. She did this for 35 years. Others corrected them, it was Lucille's job to transcribe each lesson and remember the many rules to writing for the blind on her Perkins Braille writer. When she was 80 years old she had to quit because it was too difficult to remember new rules. She was a teachers aide at Zion Lutheran School for six years and this she enjoyed very much.

Lucille had eight grandchildren and 30 great grandchildren and five great great grandchildren. Three nephews became Lutheran ministers and five grandsons are licensed preachers. One of the Bible verses dearest to her was Matthew 6:33 "Seek ye first the kingdom of God and His righteousness and all these things will be added unto you". Her very favorite Hymn was "What a friend we have in Jesus, All our sins and grief's to bear."
