Lorree Anna Hatfield died Wednesday, February 22, 2012, surrounded by those that love her. Lorree was born near Collins, Missouri, on September 29, 1914, to John and Laura Wilson. She was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother that enjoyed spending time with her family and friends. Lorree attended school in Osceola and Southwest Baptist University in Bolivar.

Lorree married Roy Hatfield in Clinton, May 7, 1936. Early during their marriage, they lived near Collins. Shortly thereafter, Lorree and Roy moved to a farm just east of Appleton City where they raised their two children Larry and Linda.

Lorree taught for several years in a one-room schoolhouse at Ashworth and Harwood schools. After having children, Lorree refocused her responsibilities on raising them and helping with the farm.

While working on the farm and raising two children, Lorree enjoyed tending her vegetable gardens, flower gardens, and fruit trees. She took pleasure in sharing her joys by distributing the harvest of her hard work. Lorree's hands were never idle. When the sun was down and the tiller was in the shed, she enjoyed sewing, cooking, mending, crocheting, knitting, or making jewelry while watching one of her favorite shows.

Lorree was a devout member of the Ohio Christian Church where she valued participating and sometimes teaching Bible school, Sunday school, and quilting with the Ladies Aid group.

In 2003, Lorree went to live with her daughter and family in Lee's Summit, Mo. After several years in her daughter's home, Lorree decided to relocate to Wilshire nursing home near her family in Lee's Summit. She enjoyed many of the activities such as bingo, bible study, art working, and jewelry making.

Lorree was preceded in death by her parents, husband, brother Dan Wilson, and son-in-law McColley Knowles. She is survived by her loving family of; son Larry and his wife Diane Hatfield, granddaughter Aryn, great-grandson Brycen, all of Comfort, Texas; daughter Linda Knowles of Lee's Summit, grandsons Matthew Knowles, Blue Springs, Missouri, and Grant Knowles of Portland, Oregon; nephews John and Roger Wilson of Costa Mesa, California.
