Loretta Jay Dorward, daughter of Albert Harrison and Lena Maude (Parsons) Knight, was born June 17, 1914 in Taberville, Missouri. She died at Greene Haven in Springfield, Missouri Saturday, April 21, 2007 at 92 years of age.
Loretta married Clarence Dorward on September 1, 1933. She lived nearly all her life in the Appleton City, Missouri area and attended Ohio Christian Church. Loretta enjoyed being a farmer's wife and was a very hard worker. She enjoyed gardening and spending time with her family.
Preceding Loretta in death was her husband, Clarence, her parents, her brothers, Ralph Knight and Forrest Knight, and her sister Geneva Parsons.
Survivors include her son William Dorward of Columbia, Missouri, two daughters, Nettie Drummond of Springfield, Missouri and Janice Clark of Decatur, Alabama, six grandchildren and eleven great-grandchildren.
