Linda Rose Mckee, age 65, passed away peacefully in her home on August 22, 2024.  Linda was born in Kansas City, Missouri on March 16, 1959.

She spent the first portion of her life working as a waitress and raising her children that she so dearly loved.  After the kids were raised, she retired from the waitressing business and began raising poodles.  This was what she truly loved.  She also loved to cook.  Preparing meals on holidays for her family and friends was another one of her passions.  Her motto was, "dessert first."  Her love for her children and grandchildren was a constant, gentle force that shaped their lives in countless ways.  She was their rock, their inspiration and their eternal supporter.

Preceding her in death was her son, James Joy; her parents Ed DeMaggio and Mae Pennington; her step-parents Erv and Violet Scott; her siblings: Mary Kendall, Sandy DeMaggio, Cathy Ramirez, Janet McMicheal, Jerry and Bob Scott.

She is survived by her husband, Mike McKee; her children: Paula Joy, Allen McKee and his wife Crystal, Carol, Shirley and Jamie Joy; her siblings: Ed, Frank, Mike and Diana DeMaggio, Liz Ramirez, Nina Scott and Bea Clemons; her grandchildren, Joseph and Noah Kempinger, Lyric and Justiss Tinsley, and Miley West.

Linda was deeply loved and will be missed dearly by all of her family and friends.  Life without her here on earth, will surely be different.  Though she is physically gone she will never be forgotten.

A memorial is suggest to a Family Love Fund and may be left for them at Hill & Son Funeral Home.
