Obituary

The FUNERAL SERVICE for Mrs. James will be held at
Hill and Son Funeral Home in
Appleton City, Missouri at
10:30 a.m., Saturday, April 20, 2013.

The MINISTER will be
Pastor Ron Beaton.

VISITATION IN APPLETON CITY, MO will be held at the funeral home
preceding the service on
Saturday, April 20, 2013 between
9:30 - 10:30 a.m.

VISITATION IN AMARILLO, TX will be held at
Schooler Funeral Home on
Monday, April 22, 2013 between
10:00 - 11:00 a.m.

GRAVESIDE SERVICE AND INTERMENT will be held at Memory Garden Cemetery, Amarillo, TX around
12:15 p.m. following visitation on Monday, April 22, 2013.

In lieu of flowers the family requests MEMORIALS to Appleton City
Main Street Vision Committee or AC Optimist Club, these may be sent in care of Hill & Son Funeral Home.

Linda Jean (Earle) James, 62, of Appleton City, Missouri passed away on April 18, 2013. Linda was born on April 10, 1951 and grew up in Amarillo, Texas where she graduated from Amarillo High School in 1969. She moved to Missouri in the mid 1970's

Linda married Bill James on July 3, 1986 and they lived in Longmont, Colorado where Linda became an insurance agent. Bill and Linda moved to Appleton City in 2006 to be close to their grandchildren. She was so very proud of her grandchildren and bragged about them every chance she found. Linda enjoyed gardening, landscaping and socializing with friends.

Preceding Linda in death were her parents, Elden Pegram, Harrison Earle and Melba Earle; a brother Cleon Earle; and a sister, Renee Hucker.

Survivors include her husband Bill of the home; Bill's two sons, Doug James and wife Marla of Appleton City, Missouri and Greg James and Sarah of Adrian Missouri; two brothers, Rock Earle of Amarillo and Jonnie Layne of Waco, Texas; three sisters, Gayla Christian and Connie Tedford of Amarillo and Charlotte Harrison of Dumas, Texas; grandchildren: Bailey, Karli, Kady, Brycen and Keaton; many nieces and nephews; beloved in-laws Hubert and Alice Conn of Lee's Summit, Missouri; sisters-in-law: Janet Brockhouse, Blue Springs, Missouri and Margaret Dearing, Harrisonville, Missouri; close friends Jamie McCray of Overland Park, Kansas and Hank Chilton of Longmont, Colorado; many other family members and good friends.
