Linda Lou Dines, daughter of Murel Arthur and Leona (Simpson) Brower, was born October 21, 1946 in Cedar Springs, Missouri. She departed this life May 30, 2005 at Ellett Memorial Hospital in Appleton City, Missouri at 58 years of age.
At 18 years of age Linda moved From Cedar Springs to Kansas where she lived for 10 years before moving to the Appleton City, Missouri area where she has remained throughout her life. Linda and Lynn Dines were united in marriage June 26, 1965 in Appleton City and to this union five children were born. Linda was a loving wife and mother, and was devoted to caring for residents of the Appleton City Manor Nursing Home where she had been employed for 16 years. Mrs. Dines was baptized as one of Jehovah's Witnesses June 15, 1996 and regular Bible study was very important to her. She possessed a strong and unshakable faith.
Linda was preceded in death by her father, step-father, Melvin Lyle and one sister, Leta Larson. Survivors include her husband, Lynn, of the home; her children, Kristina and husband Jeff Taylor of Walker, Missouri, Jonathan Dines and wife Jessica of Springfield, Missouri, Gwendolyn and husband John Stackhouse of Appleton City, Missouri, Belinda and husband Kevin Gilbert of Ft. Scott, Kansas and Jennifer and husband Daniel Sanderson of El Dorado Springs, Missouri; her mother, Leona Garrigus of Lee's Summit, Missouri; one sister Geraldine Ellifritts of El Dorado Springs, Missouri; two brothers, Bill Brower of El Dorado Springs, Missouri and Rupert Brower of Ocean Side, California; 17 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
