Laverne Katherine Lesmeister, daughter of Henry and Viola (Rotert) Engelhart, was born August 8, 1929 in Montrose, Missouri. She departed this life at Ellett Memorial Hospital in Appleton City, Missouri June 3, 2010 at 80 years of age.
Laverne lived in the Montrose, Missouri area her whole life. She was united in marriage to Raymond Ralph Lesmeister in May of 1950. Laverne was a homemaker her whole life. She enjoyed taking care of her husband and children and was an excellent baker of pies. She was a member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church for many years.
Preceding Laverne in death were her husband Raymond Lesmeister and a son-in-law Mike Magoon. Survivors include a son Jim Lesmeister and wife Ruth of Montrose, a daughter Gayle Magoon of Avondale, Arizona, two grandchildren Zach Lesmeister of Montrose and Sarah Kliethermes and husband Adam of Westphalia, Missouri, two great–grandchildren Colby Kliethermes and McKenna Kliethermes, one sister Darlene Eisler and husband Bill of Kansas City, Missouri and several nieces and nephews.
