The FUNERAL SERVICE for Jim will be held at Hill & Son Funeral Home in Appleton City, Missouri on Saturday, March 27, 2021 beginning at 11:00 a.m.

VISITATION will preceded the service from 10:00 - 11:00 a.m. at the funeral home.

OFFICIATING at the service will be Pastor David Hill

INTERMENT will be in St. Mary's Cemetery, Montrose, Missouri.

The family requests any MEMORIAL donations be made to St. Mary's School.

James Milvoy "Jim" Henzlik, was born on March 7, 1943 the son of Milvoy B. and Hilda Opal (Norton) Henzlik.  He passed away peacefully at St. Luke's Medical Center in Kansas City, Missouri on March 23, 2021, age 78.  He grew up in the Mt. Zion area, graduating from Clinton High School in 1961.  Shortly after completing his education, Jim began a 34 year career as MODOT employee, where he retired as a shed boss in 1998.

Along with this, Jim met and married Lorine Jenette Pratt on June 6, 1964, his wife of 56 years.  To this union, two children were born: Linda and Michael.  Jim was a devoted family man, who cherished his family, especially his grandchildren.  He rarely missed a school event that his grandkids participated in at St. Mary's and Montrose High School.  Jim loved leading many exciting family vacations across the country, getting his family through numerous mishaps and happy adventures.  He further was a renown gunsmith in the Montrose area and was highly sought after so long as he remained able.  He dearly enjoyed going to gun shows and swap meets.  Jim never met a stranger, and had an uncanny ability to socialize with everyone in ear shot.  He also liked hunting, fishing, and anything outdoors that involved a gun.  Jim will be deeply missed by his family and friends.

Jim was preceded in death by his parents, Milvoy B. and Hilda Opal (Norton) Henzlik.

He is survived by his wife, Lorine (Pratt) Henzlik; his children: daughter, Linda (Rick) Hearting, and one son, Michael (Michelle) Henzlik; and his two grandchildren:  Taylor and Jesse Henzlik; along with extended family and many good friends.
