The FUNERAL SERVICE for Mr. Knight will be held at Hill and Son Funeral Home in Appleton City, Missouri on Wednesday, December 31, 2014 at 2:00 p.m.

MINISTER for the service will be Pastor Tony Reynolds.

VISITATION will be held at Hill and Son Funeral Home on Wednesday, December 31, 2014 from 12:00 - 2:00 p.m.

INTERMENT will be in the Appleton City Cemetery, Appleton City, Missouri.

The family suggests that MEMORIAL gifts may be made to Ellett Memorial Hospital or Appleton City Cemetery.

Jack Albert Knight, 73, son of Ralph Albert and Eva Kernelia (Davis) Knight was born September 23, 1941 in Montrose, Missouri. He passed away at his home in Appleton City, Missouri on Sunday, December 28, 2014.

Jack attended his schooling at Appleton City, starting with the elementary school through high school. He graduated Appleton City High School in 1959.

Jack was united in marriage to Ann Marie Paris on September 1, 1961 at the First Christian Church in Appleton City, Missouri. They were blessed with two daughters, Cathy and Karen.

Jack farmed with his dad and brother-in-law, Roger Schooley. They raised hogs and cattle along with row crops. Helping his neighbors was extremely important to him, sometimes before his own family or own work. He was always driven to work to excess; to succeed and always do more.

Jack was a member of the First Christian Church in Appleton City, Missouri. He was also a member of Odd Fellows Lodge since he was 18 years old and had completed all chairs.

Jack was preceded in death by his parents and brother-in-law, Roger Schooley.

Survivors include his wife, Ann of the home; daughters: Cathy Thompson (Chris) and Karen Green (Chris); grandchildren: Amy Green-Nold (Jeffrey), Nicki Munsterman (Straton), Brandon Thompson (Dusti), Brian Green (fiancée Sara Mitchel) and Clint Trevarthen; great grandchildren: Braydon, Austin, Kaylean and Evalyn Nold, Hayne and Kinsley-Jane Thompson and Braelynn Munsterman; sister Nathalie Schooley, niece Debbie Dains (Ronnie) and nephew Mike Schooley.

Jack was a good ole boy and quite the prankster. He enjoyed visiting with friends and playing cards. He will be greatly missed by his many friends and family.
