The FUNERAL SERVICE for Mrs. Eye will be held at Hill and Son Funeral Home in Appleton City, Missouri on Saturday, December 14, 2013 at 11:00 a.m.

The MINISTER for the service will be Pastor Ron Beaton.

VISITATION will be at Hill and Son Funeral Home, Saturday, December 14, 2013, 10:00 - 11:00 a.m. prior to service.

INTERMENT will be in Appleton City Cemetery, Appleton City, Missouri.

The family suggests MEMORIAL contributions may be made to Trinity United Methodist Church.

Ivonne Rosemary (West) Eye, daughter of Albert and Adelia (Snethen) West was born May 22 1925 in Coal, Missouri. She passed away Tuesday, December 10, 2013 in Independence, Missouri at the age of 88.

Ivonne moved to Kansas City, Missouri in 1944. She worked at Pratt-Whiting Aircraft during the war then later worked as a clerk-typist at Russell Stover Candies for 10 years. During the time she resided in Kansas City, she belonged to the Garden Club and was a den mother for Cub Scouts for seven years.

Ivonne was united in marriage to Leroy "Pete" Eye on March 23, 1946 in Kansas City, Kansas. They were blessed with two children.

After moving to Appleton City in 1987, they became members of the Appleton City Trinity United Methodist Church. She was also a faithful member of UMW, women's group, King's Daughter's Sunday school class and attended the Seek, Study & Pray Bible study. Ivonne enjoyed doing crafts, reading and cooking. She loved Christmastime and especially opening packages with the children.

Ivonne was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Leroy "Pete" Eye; siblings: Verna, Stella, Myrtle, Leva, Eilene and Roy.

Surviving Ivonne is, daughter, Patty Cooper (Eugene) of Independence, Missouri; son, Bruce Eye (Judy) of Kimberling City, Missouri; grandchildren: Ed Cooper, Vicky Martin (Adam), Jeffrey Eye (Tiffany), and Rebecca Eye; great-grandchildren: Ashley Cooper, Nathan Cooper, Alex Martin, Andrew Martin, Cooper Eye and Bridger Eye.
