Ivan Lee Hergesheimer, son of Chester and Blanche (Williams) Hergesheimer, was born August 21, 1932 in Logan County, Kansas. He passed away March 2, 2008 at his home in Appleton City, Missouri at 75 years of age.
Ivan graduated from high school in Mountain View, Missouri. Mr. Hergesheimer served in the U.S. Army with the 5th Armored Division during the Korean Conflict and was honorably discharged in 1953.
On March 3, 1957 Ivan and Nadine Ledgerwood were united in marriage and to this union three children were born. The Hergesheimer's have been members of the Appleton City, Missouri community since 1965. Ivan worked for the Missouri Public Service Company before becoming self-employed in the construction industry. He was a member of the Rockville United Methodist Church in Rockville, Missouri.
Preceding Ivan in death were his parents and two brothers, Dale and Wayne Hergesheimer. Survivors include his wife, Nadine, of the home; three children, Robert Lee Hergesheimer, Donna R. Engeman and husband Robert, Linda K. Lewis and husband Steve; five grandchildren, Brandie Maddox and husband Robert, Amber Harra, Cody Lewis, Annamarie Engeman and Ryan Engeman; and a sister, Erma West.
