Isaac Edmond "Eddie" Roberts, age 80, was born in Oklahoma August 13, 1929. He passed away January 5, 2010 in Kansas City, Missouri where he had made his home for many years.
Eddie and Etta May Foster were united in marriage December 15, 1956 and had just celebrated their 53rd anniversary. They were blessed with six children. Eddie worked as a roofer and was a member of the Roofers Union Local 20 in Kansas City. He had worked for several different companies throughout his life.
Catfishing was one of Eddie's favorite hobbies. He had spent many enjoyable hours at Lake Jacomo in search of the wily catfish. Later in life as his health failed he searched for hobbies to pass his time. He was an avid gardener planting all sorts of vegetables that were picked and canned and he also enjoyed caring for roses. Eddie liked to go to the Woodlands dog track where he worked to find the winning combination of racing greyhounds. He also had fun trying his luck with lottery scratch off tickets.
Survivors include his wife, Etta May Roberts; his six children, Leta Wiseman, Patricia Giordano, William Roberts, Joyce Roberts, James Roberts and Charles Roberts; one brother, Benjamin Roberts; 21 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren.
Eddie was much loved by his family and friends and will be greatly missed.
