Helen Frances Munsterman, daughter of Theodore and Ida Barbara (Ottele) Baer, was born July 28, 1920 In Stuart, Nebraska. She departed this life January 21, 2009 at her home near Montrose, Missouri at 88 years of age.
Helen attended St. Mary's School after her family moved to the Montrose area where she has remained throughout her life. On September 23, 1941 Leo Anthony "Lee" Munsterman and Helen were united in marriage and they were blessed with six children. She was a home maker and a hard worker, taking excellent care of her family. Gardening brought her joy, especially working with roses and other flowers, and she also liked cats. She loved her family and the time they spent with her and her grandkids were very special to her.
Mrs. Munsterman was a faithful member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, the Immaculate Conception Altar Society and the Montrose Extension Club.
Preceding Helen in death were her parents, her husband, two grandchildren, Russ Alexander and Bryan Schoonover, and one brother Raymond Berks. Surviving are her six children, Robert "Bob" Munsterman and wife Carmen of Appleton City, Missouri, Janice and husband Richard Alexander of Clinton, Missouri, Jim Munsterman and wife Karen of Montrose, Missouri, Kathy and husband Ron Schoonover of Lee's Summit, Missouri, Richard Munsterman of Montrose, Missouri and Annette and husband Dale Manny of Overland Park, Kansas, four siblings, Delores Pratt and Wilfred Berks both of Montrose, Missouri, Dorothy Dennis of Lexington, North Carolina and Esther Rice of Lee's Summit, Missouri, 13 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren.
